It is common for users to book a resource in advance and then not use it because their plans change, they become ill, or for other reasons. To address this, TableAir supports check-in, which confirms that a user has started using a booking.
Check-in can be completed in several ways:
- Web check-in – Users can click an ongoing booking in the timeline and select Check In to confirm that they have arrived.
- QR code check-in – Users can scan the QR code attached to a desk to check in. For more information, see the Mobile Application User Guide.
- Sensor check-in – Occupancy sensors can automatically detect when a user occupies a desk or enters a meeting room and perform the check-in automatically.
- Microsoft Teams notification – The Microsoft Teams integration can notify users about upcoming bookings and allow them to check in or cancel the booking directly from the notification.
- Geofencing check-in – If the TableAir mobile application is installed, users can be checked in automatically when they enter a predefined geographic area.
The available check-in methods depend on your license and on the features enabled by your system administrator.
